Alpina takes to the skies with new Startimer Pilot line

Luxury Swiss sports watch manufacturer Alpina, is proud to present the new Startimer Pilot Big Date collection that is geared towards pilots on the go

Alpina is an independent, family-owned fine watchmaking manufacture based in Geneva, Switzerland. Throughout its 132 year history, the brand has gained experience as the official supplier of military and pilot watches and has developed two new versions of its iconic Startimer Pilot line.

The Startimer Pilot Chronograph Big Date features a large readable dial in a deep navy blue sunray finish. Three silver chronograph counters are the focal feature of the dial, where the first sub-dial counts the seconds, the second sub-dial counts the minutes and the third sub-dial measures one tenth of a second.  Powered by a Swiss High Precision movement, the timepiece is coined in a 44mm stainless steel case that is water resistant to 100 metres and is completed in a choice of Military Green genuine leather strap or metal bracelet.

The second model in this collection is the Startimer Pilot Big Date, which encases an AL-280 high precision Swiss quartz movement in a 44mm stainless steel case that is water resistant to 100 metres. Like its sister watch, the date is visible through two rectangular apertures in the lower part of the dial, but instead of three sub-dials, this watch features just one sub-dial at the 6’o clock hour marker which counts the small seconds.  The timepiece is finished with a blue leather strap or metal bracelet.
