Chopard Manufacture’s anniversary celebrations in Dubai

Chopard and its partner Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons welcomed gentlemen and watch aficionados to celebrate 20 years of Chopard Manufacture on October 25, 2016

Featuring exceptional models of the L.U.C collection that have made their mark through the years, the event was a tribute to the Geneva-based Fine Watchmaking Maison’s expertise in creating distinctive unique timepieces mingling art and time. The event celebrated the journey of excellence through the origins of Chopard Fine Watchmaking creations, capturing the charismatic personality and modern spirit of gentlemen who enjoy living with distinction.

Held at the Little Black Door, one of the most en vogue and elegant gentleman’s lounge club of Dubai, the event was an opportunity for the guests to understand the ultimate craftsmanship perpetuated by Chopard through ancient techniques, alongside a contemporised approach to design and watchmaking. They discovered the latest Chopard L.U.C timepieces launched in 2016, such as the L.U.C XPS 1860 and the L.U.C Perpetual Chrono along with key models of the collection.

In the mid-1990s, Chopard co-president, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele was inspired by a powerful idea that would come to fruition in 1996: reviving the watchmaking heritage of the company’s founding father, Louis-Ulysse Chopard, and recapturing Chopard’s horological legitimacy. He thus undertook the creation of Chopard Manufacture, a full-fledged watch Manufacture in Fleurier.

To be recognised as a Manufacture, a watch company must produce at least one “in-house” mechanical movement, and thus the Chopard Manufacture was born.
