Hublot at the UEFA Euro 2016

Aug 10, 2016

On the eve of the UEFA Euro 2016, Hublot, the Official Watch, brought together two brand new teams for a historic match

At an iconic venue, in the heart of the Palais Royal, two legendary teams competed. After 30 minutes of a hard-fought game, Team Pelé – which included Ferdinand, Hierro, Dida, Crespo and Bebeto – and Team Maradona – consisting among others, Trezeguet, Peruzzi, Ferrara, Materazzi and Seedorf – ended up with equal scores.

Hublot has designed the Big Bang Unico Retrograde Chronograph UEFA EURO 2016™ – Official Watch, especially for the world of football. The watch times the halves and added time, indicating the actual time, the elapsed time and current match period. In the colours of France – the host country, it comes in a 100-piece edition.

The 45 mm case of the Big Bang Unico and the Big Bang Bi-Retrograde Chronograph now comes with the “One click” interchangeable system strap. Paying tribute to Europe’s top footballing nations, Hublot presents a limited series of straps in official jerseys bearing the colours of England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

The “WHAT IS YOUR EURO MOMENT?” campaign uses visuals symbolising the energy and unifying power of football, and presents 12 personalities from football. David Trezeguet, former French international player and European Champion, recalls his golden goal that allowed France to win the competition. Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, whose favourite moment – the opening match of Euro 2008 in Basel – alludes to Hublot’s first year of partnership with UEFA.
