Hublot’s launch of the Forbidden X is a smoking hot success

After the tremendous success of the King Power “Arturo Fuente” which was unveiled in 2012, Hublot and Arturo Fuente have teamed up again to launch the new Forbidden X wristwatch.

Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, and Carlos Fuente Jr., grandson of the cigar factory’s founder, attended an exclusive event at the One&Only Palm Hotel which brought together Dubai’s greatest cigar connoisseurs and watch collectors for an exciting evening celebrating the launch of the Forbidden X. With the distinct fragrance of fine Forbidden X cigars in the air, the light ambiance and sumptuous cuisine evoked the atmosphere of Old World Havana. Adding to the festivities guests donned Hublot Panama hats and relished in the discovery of watches that were developed in close collaboration with the Fuente family.

Guests were particularly impressed with the unique feature on the Forbidden X timepieces where manufactures used real tobacco leaves to create the dial.  Each watch is delivered in their own little treasure chest display case; a veritable wooden “humidor” cigar box, specially developed by Hublot.

Measuring 45mm in diameter, the Arturo Fuente Forbidden X watches are designed in a shade of brown which works in perfect harmony with the colour of the tobacco leaves in the dials. With a brown ceramic bezel, they are available in a choice of four different versions, including a titanium version, a black ceramic version, a King Gold version and a luxury version equipped with a tourbillon movement.
