HYT achieves technological breakthrough

The H1 Cigar is the first customised watch created by HYT that has limitless possibilities in the development of unique cases that use a special resin

The young, independent brand has reached a new peak in luxury watch-making with customised wrist-wear that combines a “polyepoxyde” resin with a solid element of the client’s choice. This technological breakthrough paves the way for a new creative horizon in the future of timekeeping. From cigar shavings to grains of sand, the owner of the watch is able to select a material that is personal to them and infuse it with resin to create a bespoke piece that fits within their personality.

This concept is demonstrated by the limited edition HYT’s H1 Cigar timepiece, where the case is infused with the most beautiful Rodolfo Vitola cigar leaves that measures a diameter of 48.8mm and a thickness of 17.9mm. Energised by a mechanical hand-wound HYT calibre, which consists of 35 jewels and hums at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the watch has a power reserve of 65 hours that is illustrated at the 2 o’clock position. The interesting brown dial displays retrograde fluid hours, using white indexes and Roman numerals and a second’s wheel at 9’ o clock, while the white minute sub-dial features black indexes and numbers that are pointed to by a pink gold hand. The H1 cigar is water resistant to 30 metres and is completed with a brown alligator leather strap.
