A highlight in Blancpain’s calendar is the month of February, where couples come together to declare their feelings for each other. If you want to make that extra special statement, then Blancpain’s Saint Valentine’s Day 2015 timepiece is the perfect gift. Each year, the Maison releases a new model especially for the occasion and this year, only 14 pieces of the limited-edition women’s watch are available.

Exuding femininity, the mechanical timepiece has a mother-of-pearl dial decorated with a graceful inlaid rose, which had been cut and dried before being placed onto the dial, a technique which demonstrates the fine craftsmanship of the skilled watchmakers. The intricate hour and minute hands lie just off-centre towards the bottom of the dial, allowing the rose to take centre stage.

The smooth white-gold case measures a diameter of 36.8 mm and is adorned with 121 glistening diamonds. The two intertwined rows of different-sized stones are reminiscent of the brand’s emblematic double-stepped bezel, and the setting of the prominent crown completes the ensemble. The timepiece offers a luxurious white ostrich leather strap that will complement any outfit, whether for a simple day out or an evening filled with excitement.
