Palmiero pays tribute to beauty icons

Since its inception in 1979, the Italian luxury brand Palmiero has had a steady rise in the industry of crafting exquisitely crafted, richly-hued and gem-encrusted pieces. This 2016, the brand has shown no sign of slowing down, and instead unveiled a “Cinematic Collection” that celebrates the beauty of the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman and Grace Kelly

Palmiero’s growth is attributed to the visionary businessman and genius craftsman, Carlo Palmiero, who was greatly influenced by the goldsmith traditions of his town in Valenza in the region of Piedmont in the northern part of Italy.

With being provided the amazing opportunity to work at artisanal laboratories and learn together with some of the most celebrated artists in the field, Carlo Palmiero’s passion for the art of jewellery making led to the creation of his first pieces at a small laboratory in Valenza. His first fine creations were renowned for its small dimensions yet were already imbued with strong personality.

Soon enough, Carlo Palmiero was distinguished for his ground-breaking creations, which idiosyncratically opposed traditional jewellery design at the time, by transferring attention from the “centre” of a piece to illuminating the entire object. With his non-traditional views, he dilated the shapes and expanded the attention to the whole jewel surface, and succeeded in creating a new perspective for appreciating jewellery.

After years of creating spellbinding pieces, Carlo Palmiero and his team has begun to create sensational and captivating designs at the company’s large and modern laboratory-atelier in Valenza, inaugurated in 2007. The state-of-the-art technology at the laboratory makes Palmiero a pioneering jewellery manufacturer in the industry. At the same time, it remains a large artisanal laboratory, where manual skills are of particular importance and are articulated through the capability and now-how of highly qualified goldsmiths and stone-setters.

The exquisite creations start life in Palmiero’s modern laboratory-atelier in Valenza, where designers work tirelessly to achieve the best finishing possible using ultimate refined gems and precious materials, such as gold.  With numerous points of sale around the world, Palmiero has gained popularity with its breathtaking masterpieces that are meticulously endowed with an abundance of personality.

Palmiero’s creations are high-fashion luxury jewels that are meticulously endowed with personality, through diamond pavé settings and the use of natural coloured stones. The pieces are conceived in lively and profound tonalities and “Arlecchino” or shaded effects, resulting in spellbinding masterpieces. Palmiero’s multi-dimensional pieces play with shapes, depth and colour, and are uniquely distinctive for their whimsical appearance. The brand has consequently appealed to an international audience, with numerous points of sale worldwide.

Moreover, Palmiero has gained recognition in the Middle East last year. The unique design and unusual theme of Waves Collection earned Palmiero firm the prestigious Middle East Jewellery of the Year 2015 “Best Theme Jewellery Award”. The Italian high-end jewellery and watch brand received the accolade at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay on the 23rd of November 2015, at a glittering ceremony held under the patronage of Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, Bahrain Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

From the world of jewellery making, Palmiero has entered the fine watchmaking industry in 2012 when it introduced its first jewellery watch collection. Year after year, Palmiero has remained steadfast in reproducing the concepts of the brand’s jewellery creations in its jewellery timepieces and, this year, at Baselworld, Palmiero has again wowed the experts and connoisseurs with its glittering collection: The Cinema Collection.

In this stunning range, Carlo Palmiero’s sensitivity for beauty has given rise to timeless jewellery watches, which represent a tribute to equally timeless and unforgettable icons of exceptional elegance. The jewellery watches from the Cinema Collection are the result of a research into life and career of the film stars they are inspired to.

Inspired by actress Audrey Hepburn’s awe-inspiring performance of the song “Moon River” in the classic movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, the Audrey watch flaunts a dial that features a stroke of blue sapphires, thus representing the river, which is surrounded by bright green diamonds. Housed in 18 carat white gold, the watch provides clear display of hours and minutes.

The “Grace” watch reveals an unusual dial shape as well as a stylish display of the cloth texture.  Cased in 18 carat white gold, the “Grace” watch indicates time in hours and minutes.
