Sneak peek at the Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial

Luxury watchmaker, Girard-Perregaux launched a classic white gold version of its Tri-Axial Tourbillon that is limited to just ten pieces. The Haute Horlogerie Manufacture has developed a tourbillon with a regulating organ that rotates on three axes instead of the traditional single axis. Taking almost 160 hours to assemble, the complex mechanism is then fitted into a 48mm white gold case. A convex lens has been incorporated into its sapphire crystal, which creates enough space for the tourbillon to revolve. A window in the side of the case at the 9 o’clock position lets light into the heart of the movement, allowing the mechanism to be viewed.
