10th Day of the 10th Month to be celebrated as World Watch Day

October 10, 2025, marks the inaugural edition of World Watch Day – Journée Internationale de l’Horlogerie. The first official presentation in this regard took place on April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., Watches & Wonders, Auditorium. World Watch Day is an invitation to share a passion for watchmaking in all its forms. The date, October 10, is a nod to tradition, as 10:10 is the time watches are typically set to when displayed. The first edition of World Watch Day will be streaming online across time zones from East to West. True to its inclusive, participatory spirit, the day will bring together media outlets, watchmaking associations, collectors’ clubs, and content creators from around the world. The day’s programme will explore every facet of watchmaking – from culture to science, from economics to sport, from traditional craftsmanship to contemporary art. An association has been formed to coordinate this initiative, bringing together those who work to promote and share watchmaking culture worldwide. It is open to all who wish to join and contribute.
