Bvlgari unveils world’s largest precious jewellery manufacturing site

Bvlgari’s expanded Manifattura in Valenza is now the largest single-branded jewellery manufacturing site in the world, and an extraordinary example of sustainable building and operations, spanning 33,000 sqm
The press conference, with the support of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, saw the participation of Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin; President of LVMH Italy Toni Belloni; Vice President and Regional Minister of the Piedmont Region Elena Chiorino; and Fausta Bergamotto, undersecretary of Ministry of Enterprises and Made In Italy. A panel discussion moderated by journalist Mariangela Pira, culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Jean-Christophe Babin, LVMH & Bvlgari management, and institutions, and was followed by a guided tour of the newly expanded facility.
The expansion aims to double the site’s production capacity by 2029, creating over five hundred new jobs, and houses the Scuola Bvlgari – the Maison’s first publicly accessible training school focused on jewellery. The expanded Manifattura reflects Bvlgari’s strategic vision of vertical integration, ensuring full oversight of the entire jewellery-making process, from raw material sourcing to the final creation.
The inauguration was also marked by the unveiling of two contemporary art installations, commissioned by Bvlgari – the ‘Serpenti’, (2011) a sinuous sculpture by Zaha Hadid; ‘Vista Aeterna’ (2024) by Sabine Marcelis. Completing the artistic ensemble is a striking mural by stencil artist Lucamaleonte, specially commissioned for the opening and located across the tunnel between the existing and the new Manifattura.
