Audemars Piguet celebrates the awards for Serena Williams and Stan Wawrinka

Audemars Piguet, one of the oldest names in the field of fine watchmaking, commended the recent accolades received by its brand ambassadors, Serena Williams and Stan Wawrinka

The Swiss luxury watchmaker congratulated the tennis champions for their amazing performances shown during the 2015 tennis seasons as well as their continuous hard-work, dedication and determination. Audemars Piguet Ambassadors Serena Williams and Stan Wawrinka were both recognised with prestigious industry awards.

Serena Williams, who won three grand slams tournaments in 2015, was presented with Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year award during a ceremony that took place on the 15th of December 2015 in New York, USA. The tennis superstar was spotted wearing the Audemars Piguet’s stunning Millenary during the said award’s ceremony. The stunning timepiece breaks the traditional ideas of women’s watch design and displays a true desire to break the rules, technically and creatively.

Meanwhile, Stan Wawrinka was awarded with the title Sports Personality of the Year in a ceremony that took place on the 13th of December 2015 in Zurich, Switzerland. Stan Wawrinka won four tournaments in 2015, Paris included, defeating Novak Djokovic in a thrilling final. When accepting the award, the tennis champ was seen wearing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak self-winding in rose gold.

Both tennis players perfectly embody Audemars Piguet’s philosophy: “To break the rules, you must first master them”.
