Only Watch 2015 marks record-breaking results

The sixth edition of Only Watch, the biennial charity fundraising auction that supports the research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, made its most successful season this year as it garnered the highest result in total of CHF 11,268,000 (10,430,798 Euros), and recorded the highest price paid for a watch sold at auction for the Patek Philippe ref. 5016A

On the 7th of November, 2015, the La Réserve Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland witnessed a packed saleroom with the attendance of more than 300 watch manufactures representatives, collectors and philanthropists, in addition to numerous bidders online and by phone. Sold under the hammer of watch expert Aurel Bacs, the Only Watch 2015 showcased 44 distinct timepieces that the world’s luxury watch brands and independent watchmakers crafted specifically for the occasion made, including most expensive wristwatch sold at an auction: The first and only stainless steel Patek Philippe reference 5016A-010 sold for CHF 7.3 million.
