Tiffany lights Burj Khalifa in Blue

The iconic jewellery brand hosted “Two Cities, One Night: New York in Dubai” at The Pavilion Armani Hotel by Burj Khalifa, and lit the Burj Khalifa in Tiffany Blue

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai International Marine Club, attended the event hosted by Tiffany & Co. on November 2, 2016. Paul Malik, USA General Consul for Dubai, and Marc Jacheet, Group Vice-President Tiffany & Co. Europe, MEA and Africa, were also present.

Tiffany was inspired by a tweet of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, featuring a picture of him with his late father Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum in the 1960s on a visit to the Empire State building in New York.

The picture, at the top of the world’s tallest building then, ignited a dream of Dubai housing the world’s tallest building, resulting in the Burj Khalifa. As an ode to this great achievement, Tiffany celebrated New York’s legacy in Dubai.

An immersive installation transported guests to the iconic monuments of New York City, including the brand’s flagship boutique on the corner of 57th Street and Fifth Avenue. Exquisite masterpieces by Tiffany’s artisans, brought to Dubai exclusively for the event, were exhibited as were two new designs: the Pavé Tiffany Setting with a platinum band and prongs set with pavé diamonds and the Tiffany T square diamond in 18k white gold with 12 princess-cut diamonds.
