Alpina accompanies polar explorers

Setting off on the 9th of May, 2015, polar legend Borge Ousland and young adventurer Vincent Colliard attempted to cross the length of the Alaskan Stikine Icefield. This is their second crossing as part of a long-term expedition, titled the Alpina & Ice Legacy Project, which enables the duo to become the first men to cross the 20 largest glaciers on earth. The aim is to raise public awareness about the importance of preserving ancestral ice, and to collect data for the scientific community. Accompanying the explorers was the Alpina Horological Smartwatch that measured body data during the crossing that took around 4 weeks to complete.
