Chopard revamps boutique in Burj Al Arab

The Chopard Burj Al Arab Boutique, re-opened its polished double doors in December 2014 with the brand’s new interior design concept by famed architect Thierry W. Despont

Above the door, the beautiful script lets visitors know they are entering the world of Chopard.  Fresh light tones of smooth white oak greet guests on arrival. Stepping further into the boutique, opulent leather and precious silk velvet call out to be touched. Rich comfortable chairs invite guests to sit as they browse all the store has to offer. This is the luxury environment of the mega-Maison’s newly decorated store at the Burj Al Arab.

In 2007, The House of Chopard launched the theme for its boutiques by opening a flagship store on Madison Avenue, New York. Designed by the famous French architect Thierry W. Despont, it has since been applied to all new openings and refurbished boutiques across the globe. Choosing to keep the store’s previous comfort and charm, the store has been modernised to create the feeling of peeking into an exclusive private home.

The watches, jewellery and accessories are prominently displayed in well-defined areas allowing strolling through the boutique to become rhythmic.  Each display becomes hypnotic as customers begin to relax in their surroundings. Caroline Scheufele, Co-president and Artistic Director of Chopard, said: “With these new environments, we want to encourage our clients to discover the multiple facets of the Chopard universe.”
