Chopard sponsors the Arab Woman Awards

For the second consecutive year, the House of Chopard was present at the Arab Woman Awards that took place at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Kuwait on the 19th of May, 2015

The Arab Woman Awards has one mission; to provide a culturally accepted platform to raise public awareness of the significant achievements of Arab women across the GCC and to provide a vast array of positive role models for young women. The organisers of the event are aiming to present awards to 500 inspirational, talented and deserving Arab women over the next decade, who have made a significant impact in society.

Initially launched in 2009, the Arab Woman Awards concept was created by ITP Consumer Deputy Manager Director, Sue Holt, who kept coming across reports of talented, hardworking and inspiring Arab women. As the region’s largest women’s publishing house, she wanted to provide a platform to promote these women in a way that befitted their culture. The first awards were held in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai and has grown to run as an annual event in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at private, by invitation only ceremonies.

This year, Chopard was the main sponsor of the event along with its retail partner in Kuwait, the Trafalgar Company, who together presented awards to five Arab women in the following sectors: businesswoman, artist, young designer, humanitarian and inspirational woman of the year.
