OMEGA dives into the past

The OMEGA Seamaster 300 first breathed life into the horology sector in 1957 as a companion for divers and underwater explorers

Once an icon of innovation and style, the new OMEGA Seamaster 300 has been reimagined and revolutionized, riding a wave of nostalgia, for the modern generation. The 2015 timepiece has been launched with an upgrade in the latest anti-magnetic technology, whilst still retaining the original look and spirit of exploration. Several key features from the earlier model have been retained, for example; the black dial, the broad arrow hour hand, the uni-directional diving bezel, and the recessed triangular hour markers that have been partially filled with "vintage" Super-Luminova, a refined look by day, and a radiant blue glow by night.

From the inside, a new Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 boasts the same accuracy and reliability as its predecessors, whilst offering a remarkable power reserve of 60 hours. Resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss, the watch has been modernised with one of the most talked about additions, the OMEGA Ceragold™, which has been used to create the broad polished bezel, giving it a breath-taking finish. The titanium case has also received a face-lift with new measurements of 41mm in diameter and 15mm in thickness, whilst being crafted from a unique Sedna™ gold material – OMEGA's distinctive 18k rose gold alloy. The Seamaster 300 is presented on a calf leather strap with white stitching that gives the watch a traditional character.
