Zenith marks upcoming 150th anniversary with tribute to founder

In 1865, Georges Favre-Jacot founded his watch factory in the Neuchâtel Mountains; one of the first industrial watch Manufactures in the modern sense of the term, and initiated the enterprising “Zenith spirit”, that is still embodied by the brand with the guiding star today. As an ode to this pioneer, and to mark its imminent landmark anniversary, Zenith has created the Academy Georges Favre-Jacot, which boasts a magnificent compendium of the multiple skills exercised within the Manufacture. A high-frequency hand-wound El Primero 4810 movement is at the heart of this extraordinary timepiece, which unprecedentedly also features a fusée and chain transmission in the upper part of the dial, linked to the barrel to ensure constant force.
