A charging ox from Harry Winston

Harry Winston, the Jeweller to the Stars, is back with a stunning high jewellery horological masterpiece, a 36mm bejewelled timepiece with an automatic movement that marks the Chinese New Year

Premier Chinese New Year Ox Automatic 36mm

The Premier Chinese New Year Ox is a limited edition of just eight pieces in red and gold, symbolising good luck, fortune and prosperity. With its left hoof in mid-air and its tail swaying in motion as it charges across the red landscape, the muscular silhouette of the animal is drawn in 18-karat rose gold and then applied to the dial. The hours and minutes are excentred and placed just below the large emerald-cut diamond at 12 o’clock. The diamond-set chapter ring is punctuated with two diamond indexes, and four applied rose gold hour markers.

A sophisticated 36mm Premier case in 18-karat rose gold set with 57 diamonds houses this timepiece. A sapphire crystal on the reverse side reveals the high-end Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement, fitted with a flat silicon balance spring to ensure precision. The movement offers a 68-hour power reserve. The hand-finished decorations can be admired through the case back. The timepiece comes on a matching shiny red alligator leather strap and is secured with a rose gold ardillon buckle set with 17 diamonds.
