Animated with a dynamic ensemble of dancing hearts and powered by the finest Swiss mechanical movement, this feminine limited-edition timepiece from the Midnight Collection encapsulates the message of passionate love for a lifetime

A series of cabochon mother-of-pearl hearts accompanied by a sprinkling of precious gemstones seem to be dancing around the dial of the Harry Winston Midnight Valentine’s Dance Automatic 36mm. The background of the solid gold dial is covered in a dainty layer of white mother-of-pearl with four concentric white gold circles emanating from the heart of the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. The epicentre of the spellbinding dance is the mother-of-pearl heart applied inside the small seconds counter; the conductor of the orchestra marking the tempo is incarnated by the continuous rotations of the small seconds hand.

The gold circles host heart-shaped cabochons in pink and different shades of red, crafted from mother-of-pearl that pop up from the background with their plump volume. To accompany the hearts in their dance around the dial, a further 56 diamonds, 24 pink sapphires, seven luscious red rubies and diminutive white gold cabochons enliven the scene.

In addition to the permanent rotations of the small seconds hand, the escalating circumference of the gold circles combined with the irregular position and size of the gemstones add a vigorous sensation of motion. In pride of place, at noon, is an emerald-cut diamond – the iconic shape and signature of the House of Harry Winston.

Part of the Midnight collection, this feminine 18-karat white gold case is set with 84 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the three diamond-set arches near the crown recall the shape of the famous arched doorway leading into Harry Winston’s New York Salon on Fifth Avenue.

The beating heart of the Dance is a high-end Swiss mechanical automatic movement. Equipped with a generous power reserve of 72 hours, the movement relies on a flat silicon balance spring to ensure superlative precision and years of impeccable performance. An open sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the beautifully hand-finished parts with Côtes de Genève on the rhodium-plated bridges, circular graining and an 18K rose gold open-worked rotor.

The colour of the vivid red hearts on the dial is echoed on the red alligator leather strap fitted with an 18K white gold ardillon buckle. Limited to just 14 pieces, the Midnight Valentine’s Dance comes in a lovely white gift box decorated with precious hearts.
