First introduced in 2012, Octo has had a considerable impact on the watchmaking communities over the last decade. Octo Roma captivates with a subtle and refined case design, combining a round effect with an octagonal frame. This remarkable visual impact is achieved through an intricate combination of two distinct geometric shapes in the case design. The satin-brushed upper round bezel is contrasted by a polished lower octagonal bezel part, creating an eye-catching, “classic-yet-not-quite” aesthetic with a bold personality.
The inner octagonal ring amplifies the design impact, with the dial taking on an octagonal shape. Completing the well-balanced and highly sophisticated look are the faceted lugs. The Octo Roma collection exudes power through its meticulously designed details, elevating the watch to a statement piece that showcases Bulgari’s commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
Another of Octo Roma’s notable features is the smooth integration of the crown with crown protectors. The crown is integrated into the case design so that it seamlessly blends in, giving the watch a streamlined appearance. The crown protectors on either side of the crown not only add to the watch’s overall aesthetic but also protect the crown from potential damage for years to come. The case’s robust construction, along with a screw-down crown, ensure the watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
The new Octo Roma models come equipped with an interchangeable wristband that requires no special tool; a simple click is enough to change the strap in a few seconds. All watches come with two wristbands: a stainless-steel bracelet and a rubber strap.
The Octo Roma Chronograph is the first in the collection, powered by the Calibre BVL 399, a Swiss-made in-house mechanical movement. The Octo Roma Tourbillons represent the perfect fusion of Swiss watchmaking excellence and Roman creativity, with each timepiece exhibiting a singular blend of technical precision and artistic vision.
Octo Roma Automatic
The 41mm automatic mechanical version with three hands and date is powered by the in-house Calibre BVL 191, featuring a power reserve of 42 hours. The model comes in blue, anthracite, and white, enhanced with the 3D effect of the Clous de Paris motif. The hands are enhanced with Super-LumiNova.
Octo Roma Chronograph
The Octo Roma Chronograph is distinguished by a sleek dial, with a clear and legible display in blue or black. It features a chronograph function with a central seconds hand, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour counter. The Calibre BVL 399 is a Swiss-made in-house mechanical movement with automatic winding. Highly accurate and reliable, the mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This 42mm watch appeals to the aesthete who appreciates a blend of traditional craftsmanship and bold, contemporary design.
Octo Roma – Exceptional Tourbillons

These tourbillons are a true testament to Bvlgari’s excellence in watchmaking. Each model proudly displays its unique features, from the captivating movement of the tourbillon mechanism to the delicate details of the dial.
Octo Roma Precious Naturalia
Aesthetics and technique play off each other on the same level. The plate on the dial side is adorned with a tiger’s eye, a chatoyant hard stone with brown and gold accents. The stone is cut out over a thickness of just a few tenths of a millimetre to cover each of the 12 indexes. Each fragment of stone being by nature unique, each watch will also be unique. At the centre of this mineral canvas is a skeletonised manufacture movement whose gear train can be observed as it progresses towards the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.
Octo Roma Precious Tourbillon Lumière
The Octo Roma Precious Tourbillon Lumière is the only – and very exclusive – creation for women in the Octo Roma collection. With a new case size of only 38mm, this piece displays a skeletonised movement, a lacework of rose gold. Circling the dial is a delicate diamond minute track, punctuated every five minutes by a ruby. The tourbillon, at 6 o’clock, seems more than ever in suspension. The entire case is set with diamonds.
