Chopard and Oscars: Chopard has long been considered the “lucky jeweller of the Oscars” as the Maison’s creations are thought to be true talismans, bringing luck to Oscar nominees.

This year too, the magic did not fail as Olivia Colman, Regina King and Mark Ronson wore the Maison’s stunning creations while receiving their Academy Awards

Awarded for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in “The Favourite”, Olivia Colman chose to wear diamond earrings featuring diamonds set in white gold; a ring featuring an oval brilliant cut diamond totalling 10.34 carats and 3.74 carats of diamonds set in white gold – both from the Haute Joaillerie Collection – and a ring from the L’Heure du Diamant Collection featuring 2.34 carats of diamonds set in white gold.

Awarded for Best Actress in a Supporting role for her role in “If Beale Street Could Talk”, actress Regina King selected to wear earrings featuring 7.92 carats of pear shaped diamonds and 4.34 carats of diamonds set in white gold; a ring featuring a 10.51 carat round brilliant-cut diamond and 1 carat of diamonds set in white gold; and a diamond bracelet featuring 53.43 carats of diamonds set in white gold, all from the Haute Joaillerie Collection.

 

Awarded for Best Music (Original Song) for “Shallow”, Mark Ronson attended the 91st Academy Awards wearing a L.U.C 1937 Classic timepiece in rose gold and cufflinks in rose gold featuring onyx.

Actress Michelle Yeoh chose to wear a pair of white gold earrings set with 8 carats of diamond briolettes and two pear-shaped diamonds totalizing 18 carats; as well as a white gold bracelet set with 47.37 carats of round brilliant cut diamonds – both from the Haute Joaillerie Collection.

Oscar winner for Best Actress in 2004 for her phenomenal performance in “Monster”, Charlize Theron selected to wear Chopard for Hollywood’s biggest night: Diamond Shooting Star drop earrings featuring 46 diamonds with a 3.80 total carat weight; paired with a diamond lattice cuff bracelet featuring 546 diamonds totalling 31.89 carats; and a diamond pave ring featuring a 4.68 carat Marquise cut diamond centre stone.

Oscar winner in 2008 for Best Actress for her role in “La Vie En Rose”, Marion Cotillard selected to layer Chopard’s champagne diamond briolette necklace (64 carats); with light and dark brown diamond bead necklaces (106 carats); and a square cut brilliant cut yellow diamond ring (15 carats).

Oscar winner in 2009 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”, Penelope Cruz glistened in Chopard’s cushion cut diamond necklace set in platinum (69 carats); a starburst yellow diamond ring (21 carats); diamond stud earrings (11 carats); and dazzling diamond bracelets.

Vanity Fair Oscar Party

The famed after Oscar party, the Vanity Fair bash, held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on February 24, 2019, saw quite a few stars dazzle in Chopard.

Actresses Chloë Sevigny selected earrings featuring 8.08 carats of diamonds set in 18 carat white gold and a bracelet featuring 10.86 carats of diamonds set in 18 carat white gold – both from the Precious Lace Collection; and a ring from the Haute Joaillerie Collection featuring a 26.37 carat cushion shaped emerald and diamonds set in 18 carat white gold.

Freida Pinto chose to don earrings from the Silk Road Collection featuring 2.03 carats of chalcedony cabochons, 3.97 carats of yellow sapphires, 6.12 carats of garnets, 2.22 carats of blue topaz and 2.19 carats of pink sapphires.

Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were seen in Chopard. Priyanka selected earrings featuring 8.21 carats of diamonds and a ring featuring 6.42 carats of pear-shaped diamonds and .80 carats of diamonds – both from the Haute Joaillerie Collection and set in 18 carat white gold. Nick chose to wear a diamond and sapphire brooch and a timepiece – both from Chopard.

Model Adriana Lima selected to wear earrings from the Green Carpet Collection featuring 10.34 carats of marquise-cut diamonds and 2.37 carats of diamonds set in 18 carat white gold and rings from the Ice Cube Collection.

Model Sara Sampaio opted to wear earrings featuring 27.55 carats of rubies and 0.88 carat of diamonds and a ring featuring a 15.80 carat oval-shaped sapphire and 3.80 carats of diamonds – both set in 18 carat white gold from the Haute Joaillerie Collection.

27th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party

The 27th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party also saw the movers and shakers of the glamour world opting to wear high jewellery from Chopard.

Model Adriana Lima selected to wear earrings from the Precious Lace Collection featuring 47.80 carats of pear-shaped kunzites, 9.85 carats of pear-shaped diamonds and 2.44 carats of diamonds set in 18 carat white gold; and rings from the Ice Cube Collection.

Model Isabeli Fontana selected to wear a necklace from the Haute Joaillerie Collection featuring 184.50 carats of pear-shaped diamonds set in 18 carat white gold.

Czech model, television host and philanthropist Petra Nemcova selected to wear a necklace featuring 12.32 carats of pear-shaped rubies, 36.05 carats of oval-shaped rubies and 5.33 carats of pear-shaped diamonds set in 18 carat white and rose gold; and a ring featuring a 3.01 carat oval-brilliant cut diamond and 0.71 carat of diamonds set in 18 carat white gold – both from the Haute Joaillerie Collection.
