Classic constellations from OMEGA

OMEGA constellations

The horological equivalent of a little black dress is the classic combination of black and steel; you can never go wrong with it. Subscribing to this belief, OMEGA – in a year of colourful watches – has chosen to go the classical route with its latest Constellation Globemaster Annual Calendar. The Constellation Manhattan Aventurine Glass Dial, on the other hand, brings a constellation in a watch, with its aventurine dial

This 29 mm model of 18K Sedna gold includes the new slimmer look of polished and bevelled edges, a thinner bezel and refined claws that merge around the casebody. Each aventurine glass dial is unique and beautifully translucent, with a universe of bright metal crystals suspended inside. This captivating effect of aventurine is formed when metal oxides are added during the glass-production process. The watch, presented on an 18K Sedna gold bracelet with mid-bar links, is driven by the METAS-certified OMEGA Master Chronometer Calibre 8701.

The 41 mm Globemaster case in stainless steel features the classic fluted bezel in tungsten carbide. The diamond-polished black dial is in the pie-pan style. Each facet marks a month, while the hands, indexes and Constellation star are in 18K white gold, with a date window at 6 o’clock. The brushed-and-polished caseback features the Constellation Observatory medallion in stainless steel, and is set in scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The watch, with a glossy black leather strap, is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8922; the movement and the full watch are METAS-certified.
