Jaeger-LeCoultre partners British Polo Day

Swiss fine watchmaking maison Jaeger-LeCoultre was the official timekeeper at the recently held British Polo Day event in Jodhpur, India

British Polo Day celebrates the heritage and history of polo on a global platform that includes top companies, prominent guests, including key figures in government, the aristocracy, diplomats, military, art and popular culture. Hosted by His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Marwar-Jodhpur, British Polo Day celebrated its 72nd global event in India.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s association with polo, specifically, British Polo Day, is a time-honoured collaboration. The first Reverso was invented in 1931, when a British officer stationed in India issued a challenge to shield his watch dial during polo matches that were often highly action-packed. Reversible, just as the name suggests, it soon became an icon far beyond the Swiss borders. The case can be slid with a finger to reveal either a solid, easily customisable reverse side or a second dial.

In 2019, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented three new interpretations of the Reverso Tribute Line, enchanting both watch collectors and polo professionals. Jaeger-LeCoultre again partners with Casa Fagliano, to create beautiful custom-made straps for the new Reverso – highlighted through a limited-edition collection of 100 pieces of the Reverso Tribute Duoface on a Casa Fagliano strap.
