Jaeger-LeCoultre supports the bid of UNESCO’s World Heritage Marine Programme at COP21

As the world leaders convened in Paris to discuss climate change, Fanny Douvere, coordinator of the Marine Programme at UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre, took the floor to defend the 47 World Heritage Marine sites. Her proposition aimed to raise attention for the critical impacts that climate change is causingin the 47 ocean places around the world that are protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Convention for their Outstanding Universal Value. Long-time World Heritage partner Jaeger-LeCoultre was one among the big supporters of UNESCO’s marine programme at COP21. The support from the Swiss luxury brand since 2008 has allowedfragile marine ecosystems to strengthen their resilience in the face of changing climate.
