OMEGA’s latest masters of the sea

A company of the Swatch Group, OMEGA is the largest manufacturer and distributor of watches and jewellery in the world. The marque’s watchmakers truly push the standards of excellence to give their customers the most inspiring timepieces possible. We bring you a look at their latest additions to the Seamaster collection

Seamaster 300

The new collection follows the spirit of the original models. Each of the 41 mm timepieces are delivered in classic stainless steel, with thinner bezels crafted from an oxalic, anodised-treated aluminium for increased hardness. The bracelets are also in stainless steel, with improved fit and finishing, and ergonomically adjusted streamlined fittings and a thinner, polished-brushed clasp. The leather straps come with a new buckle. For the dials, OMEGA has utilised a sandwich concept, including a base layer with Super-LumiNova and a second plate over the top with cuttings for hour markers and numerals. Lollipop central seconds hand with Super-LumiNova tips feature on a cleaner dial, with only the OMEGA logo and Seamaster 300 name. The sapphire crystal caseback shows the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912.

Seamaster Diver 300m Black Black

In 2021, OMEGA’s famous diving watch embraces the dark side, with a new model in the blackest black, featuring contrasting shades from a single colour. The 43.5 mm polished-brushed case in black ceramic [ZrO2] is fixed to the wrist by an integrated black rubber strap with a buckle in the same material as the case. The crown and helium escape valve are also of ceramic. Although black, its dial is easy-to-read at all hours, with anthracite Super-LumiNova added to the diving scale, the black PVD indexes and skeleton hands, and dot at 12H. These essential markers all glow in different colours in the dark; the anthracite turns them dark-grey in daylight.

For the first time, OMEGA has laser-ablated almost every detail on the black ceramic [ZrO2] dial. From the iconic waves to the minute track, wording and even the OMEGA symbol, the details have been crafted in positive relief from just one single piece. The caseback, of polished-brushed black ceramic, has a sapphire crystal glass. Keeping everything oriented is OMEGA’s patented “NAIAD LOCK” with wave-edged design, which has been metallised with “NAIAD LOCK” and “DIVER 300M”, “300 m / 1000 ft”. Through the caseback glass, the METAS-certified OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 can be seen. OMEGA’s worldwide 5-year warranty is further proof of the brand’s confidence in the stunning new Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black.

Seamaster Aqua Terra

OMEGA’s latest Aqua Terra timepieces feature hour markers in diamonds or rubies. The 2021 models are all about elegance, with fabulous new wave-embossed dials and luxurious bezels. The new 34 mm models are in stainless steel and 18K Sedna gold and feature a symmetrical polished-brushed case body, a polished bezel set with diamonds, central hour/minute and seconds hands in diamond-polished 18K Sedna gold, and a date window at 6H.

Each one is also offered in a unique new colour, such as a nude dial encircled with 11 marquise-cut diamond hour markers, or a pale pink dial with 11 marquise-cut ruby hour-markers. OMEGA is also offering an integrated bracelet in stainless steel and 18K Sedna gold, with polished central links, brushed external links and a butterfly clasp – or shimmering leather straps in red or nude.

The screw-in caseback is polished-brushed with a wave-edged design, engraved with “AQUA TERRA” and the watch’s water resistance. The flat sapphire crystal on the caseback allows a clear view of OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, certified at the industry’s highest level by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). As always, OMEGA’s worldwide 5-year warranty applies to all of the new Aqua Terra timepieces.
