OMEGA’s support of the world of golf

For many years, OMEGA’s passion for golf has been a vital part of its brand identity, and it has been supporting the world of golf with precision and style. The famous watchmaker’s name is now associated with some of the sport’s most illustrious tournaments and players

Golf is a sport where every small detail and adjustment matters, and where each player must take their time to carefully consider every move. It’s a spirit that wonderfully reflects the highly accurate timepieces that OMEGA has been making since 1848.

Today, OMEGA is committed to growing the game around the world. This has been established through several partnerships across the world, taking the brand’s name from Europe to the Middle East and even Rio de Janeiro.

Since 2001, the watchmaker has been the title sponsor of the OMEGA Masters in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. This tournament is the oldest on the European continent and is one of the leading events on the Swiss sporting calendar. OMEGA’s support has helped the organisers attract even more of the world’s golfing elite, and the competition has welcomed some of the biggest names in the sport.

OMEGA has also found a shared love for golf in Dubai, where the brand is a proud title sponsor of two prestigious events, including the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic and the OMEGA Dubai Moonlight Classic, the world’s first professional tournament to be played under lights. Both competitions are unique for their surroundings and location, and help to promote golf in a truly dynamic region.

The company has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, bringing its expertise in precision and innovation to every second of every event. When golf returned to the Olympic Games in 2016 in Rio, OMEGA was delighted to be on the greens and even provided new technology for the occasion, including new scoreboards placed at ground level which captured and displayed a range of in-depth information for spectators. The next wave of players will have their chance to win a medal this year at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and OMEGA will once again be there in support.

OMEGA’s golfing family includes some of the most high-profile players from across the world, such as Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Collin Morikawa Danielle Kang and Michelle Wie, along with a number of other rising stars in the game. Through this association, OMEGA is proud to lend its support and witness each talent make their mark on the fairways.
