Rolex debuts classic and joyous collections

Elegant, classic, and decidedly contemporary, the 1908 from Rolex heralds the new Perpetual collection, combining the classic with the Rolex avant-garde lens, while emotions and playfulness are evoked by the additions to the Day-Date 36 and the new Celebration line

Perpetual 1908
Paying homage to the year when the brand name was devised and registered, this elegant watch features a slim case crowned with a bezel that is domed and finely fluted. In 18-ct yellow or white gold, the case is fitted with a transparent case back that allows the movement to be admired. The sleek dial, in white or black, is graced with Arabic numerals 3, 9 and 12, and faceted index hour markers, with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. The model is fitted on a brown or black alligator leather strap, equipped with a Dualclasp, a double folding clasp. Its calibre 7140 movement includes the Chronergy escapement, the Syloxi hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, with its bridges finished with Rolex Côtes de Genève, and has Superlative Chronometer certification.

Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller
With its two time zones and annual Saros calendar, the Sky-Dweller, a watch for world travellers, is now offered in three variations: an 18-ct white gold version with an Oysterflex bracelet; a white Rolesor edition with a mint green dial on an Oyster bracelet; and an 18-ct Everose gold one with a blue-green dial. It is now equipped with the calibre 9002. An evolution of calibre 9001, calibre 9002 includes the Chronergy escapement, and enables the display of date and month, and an additional time zone in 24-hour format, and the hours, minutes, and seconds. It carries the Superlative Chronometer certification.

Oyster Perpetual – Celebration
Alive with colour, vitality and positivity, the new lacquered dial of the Oyster Perpetual is dotted with many-coloured bubbles. Named ‘Celebration’, this new motif is available for the Oyster Perpetual 31, Oyster Perpetual 36, and Oyster Perpetual 41. Composed of vari-sized bubbles fringed with black, it encapsulates the vivid colours of the lacquered dials introduced in 2020: candy pink, turquoise blue, yellow, coral red and green. The Oyster Perpetual 31 is equipped with calibre 2232, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41 are both fitted with calibre 3230. These two movements at the forefront of watchmaking technology provide essential functions – hours, minutes, and seconds. Like all Rolex watches, they carry the Superlative Chronometer certification.

Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36
Crafted from 18-ct yellow, white, or Everose gold, these watches have adopted an original face. Rather than showing the day, the arc-shaped aperture at 12 o’clock displays an inspirational English keyword. The window at 3 o’clock reveals an exclusive emoji instead of the date. Entirely created using champlevé enamelling, the dial features a jigsaw puzzle-inspired motif. Multi-coloured pieces fit together on a single-colour background. The hours are marked by 10 baguette-cut vari-hued sapphires according to the main colour of the dial, which is turquoise blue on the 18-ct yellow gold and 18-ct white gold versions, and orange on the 18-ct Everose gold watch. The calibre 3255 enables the display of a special keyword each day of the week and an individual emoji each day of the month, as well as the hours, minutes, and seconds. It carries the Superlative Chronometer certification.
