Van Cleef & Arpels’ Platine’s historical inspiration

Pierre Arpels was a man of highly refined taste and natural elegance. A regular on the social scene, he needed a suitable watch that would accompany him at all times. In 1949, Pierre Arpels designed and created a watch that had a sole purpose to compliment whatever outfit he might be wearing at any given time of the day, whether day or night, formal or informal. In the brand’s latest creation, the Pierre Arpels Platine, this multi-wear concept has still been upheld. Made with platinum, the timepiece comes with or without a baguette-cut diamond studded bezel and is available in two case sizes.
