Celebrate love with Chopard this Valentine

High watchmaker and jewellery maison Chopard has unveiled numerous watches and jewellery for the season of love. In keeping with the romantic theme, Alpine Eagle is now offered as a duo – his and hers, while new additions to the Happy Sport, Haute Joaillerie, Happy Hearts, My Happy Hearts, and Accessories all pay homage to the concept of romance in their choice of colours and designs

WATCHES

Alpine Eagle – His & Hers
Contemporary, refined and assertive, the Alpine Eagle sporty-chic timepiece collection is a state-of-the-art reinterpretation of the St. Moritz, the first watch created in 1980 by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, now Co-President of Chopard. Imagined and personally designed by him, Alpine Eagle is driven by his passion for the Alps and by the lofty power of the eagle that reigns supreme there. Crafted from Lucent Steel, Chopard’s exclusive, ultra-resistant, light-reflective steel, with a recycling rate of at least 80%, the Manufacture’s icon features an Aletsch Blue dial and beats to the rhythm of  a chronometer-certified in-house movement. Available in a wide range of sizes to suit both men and women, it is now available in a 41 millimetre-diameter model and a 33-millimetre version with a diamond-set bezel. The Alpine Eagle model with a large case houses the Calibre 01.01-C with its 60-hour power reserve, while the 33 mm-diameter, 8-ligne model is fitted with Calibre 09.01-C featuring a 42-hour power reserve and is one of the smallest to receive COSC certification. Both are visible through a transparent sapphire caseback.

The gently tapered Alpine Eagle bracelet comprises a single ingot-shaped link, topped by a raised central cap. The case is distinguished by a protrusion protecting the crown engraved with a compass rose. Alpine Eagle’s round bezel is punctuated by eight screws, grouped in pairs at the four cardinal points. Their slots are set at a tangent to the circle of the bezel. These screws also serve a technical function by guaranteeing the water resistance of the watch to 100 metres. Like all the Alpine Eagle’s flat surfaces, the bezel of the 41 mm model is satin-brushed, a finish carefully crafted to create light effects further enhanced by polished chamfers. On the 33 mm version, the bezel is delicately set with diamonds that sparkle like stars in a mountain sky. The hours and minutes hands, like the hour-markers, are coated with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 to enhance nocturnal legibility.

Happy Sport
This year, the watch icon introduces a pink setting for its dancing diamonds. Happy Sport is a timepiece for women who make bold strides towards embracing their destiny. Since 1993, the vitality of this Chopard watch icon has staged a mesmerising show thanks to the playful whirl of the Maison’s legendary dancing diamonds. Available in a Lucent Steel case with 30 or 36 mm diameters, the Happy Sport is now adorned with a pink dial exuding softness and femininity. At the heart of the dial of these latest models lies the tranquillity of a pastel hue that draws the eye towards a regenerative cocoon and an ultra-chic appearance. Following recent variations in sky blue and mint green, this new pink shade – a symbol of confident femininity – enhanced by the sunburst effect of the decoration, underscores the collection’s jewellery-like craftsmanship, like a perpetually replenished heart of light. A pink sapphire on the crown offers a perfect colour match with the dial.

Happy Sport Rose de Caroline
Bearing ultimate testament to the watchmaking and jewellery expertise of the Chopard workshops, the Happy Sport collection welcomes a new jewellery timepiece measuring 36mm in diameter. Roses inspire the design of the Happy Sport Rose de Caroline crafted in ethical 18-carat rose gold and set with precious stones combined in a delightful gradient of pink tones. The dial featuring a delicate guilloché centre itself invites peace and thoughtfulness: the choice of smooth, textured mother-of-pearl, accented with undulating patterns and shimmering reflections, recalls the peaceful gentleness of the sunrays it reflects. The virtuosity of the Manufacture’s gem-setters is displayed on the bezel and hour-markers adorned with pink sapphires and rubies: a splendid and unprecedented setting for the legendary ballet of dancing diamonds characterising the collection.

Beneath the mother-of-pearl dial with its fine guilloché centre beats a high-precision self-winding movement. When fully wound, it offers a comfortable 42-hour power reserve. With this creation, Happy Sport pays tribute to its creator and the moment in the 1990s when Caroline Scheufele bet an armful of roses with her workshop manager on the success of a watch that has become, against all odds, a veritable icon. The rubies on the crown and cabochons echo the colour of the fuchsia leather strap, endowing this watchmaking creation with distinctive allure and timeless elegance.

HAUTE JOAILLERIE

Sovereign rubies
Chopard is unveiling a new set exuding romantic charm featuring a majestic ruby and diamond necklace complete with matching earrings. By adding these precious creations to its Haute Joaillerie collection, Chopard once again showcases the expertise and virtuosity cultivated in its workshops. Glowing with a noble and flamboyant ‘vivid red’ colour, the rigorously selected rubies used in this set originate from Mozambique. The heart cut chosen by Caroline Scheufele endows them with romantic symbolism and an incomparably glamorous aura. In keeping with the Maison’s emblematic aesthetic codes, the design of these creations features a jewellery lace motif in which each ruby is surrounded by a daring guipure of different-shaped and sized diamonds. Through this precious jewellery set, Chopard celebrates all the artistic crafts exercised within its Manufacture. From gold casting to stone selection, not forgetting the model-makers, jewellers, polishers and gem-setters, the combination of all these brilliant minds and hands brings to life the Haute Joaillerie collections developed by Caroline Scheufele.

JEWELLERY

Happy Hearts
The epitome of softness with its voluptuous lines. Moving and colourful. Profoundly ethical. Since its launch in 2009, the Happy Hearts collection – combining the Maison’s iconic dancing diamonds with the heart motif so dear to Caroline Scheufele – has established itself as a contemporary jewellery icon. Modern jewellery that is easy to wear solo or stacked, thanks to a wide range of colours. The most recent addition to the Happy Hearts collection highlights pink opal through a pendant and bracelet in ethical 18-carat rose gold. In addition to its soft and delicate colour, pink opal – mainly found in the Peruvian Andes – also enjoys a fine symbolic reputation. Regarded as a heart chakra stone in traditional Indian medicine, it is said to have soothing properties on emotional wounds, procuring a feeling of peace and serenity. It is also thought to stimulate the imagination and creativity, as well as to encourage open-mindedness and self-acceptance. These powerful emblems naturally resonate with the Happy Hearts talismans. In response to the trend for oversized jewellery, the collection has also been revisited in a new mother-of-pearl pendant format, whose presence around the neck sculpts the look and shapes the style of big-hearted heroines.

My Happy Hearts
With My Happy Hearts, Chopard presents an intimate, subtle jewellery collection. A constellation of delicate hearts in ethical 18-carat rose gold and pink opal, to be worn alone or stacked as stylish accessories. My Happy Hearts is a gift to oneself, as gentle and soothing as a bubble of softness and peace. Launched in 2022, My Happy Hearts has already featured jewellery in carnelian, mother-of-pearl, and diamonds. The earrings belonging to the collection are sold individually to ensure greater flexibility and creativity: they can be worn alone, in a group on one ear, or asymmetrically with a simple variation featuring a dancing diamond. Featuring ethical 18-carat rose gold set with pink opal, these new models add a necklace and a pair of earrings to the collection. Alongside its soft, delicate colour, pink opal – mainly found in the Andes mountains of Peru – is renowned for its symbolic value.

ACCESSORIES
Chopard’s watchmaking and jewellery creativity has also been expressed for many years through an accessory collection in which the Maison’s concern for detail and quest for perfection are matched by the expertise of its Artisans and the nobility of the selected materials. The Maison’s entire world is thus reflected in elegant bags, writing instruments, silk scarves and cashmere stoles, as well as leather goods, decorative objects, games, and fragrances. Additions this year include the “Gem” mini bucket bag, “Signature” bracelet in fuchsia and light pink plaited lambskin, “Ice Cube” bracelet in braided black lambskin leather, and the “Sparkling Love” perfume inspired by the sparkle of diamonds.
